Very Nice - (Running out of steam for commenting - so being brief) was this with a fisheye lens? I like this - good choice of color (and non color), good dof, composition and cropping - all great for this image - I see great time, effort, thought and skill for this image Great Work 8

| The yellow #2 definately stands out in this photo. The others look like those environmentally friendly pencils that are made out of recycled materials. I wonder if you did the angle on purpose that way. I'd like to see a comparrison of this photo to a photo of them head on with no diaganal tilt. There is kind of a curved look to the pencils to the bottom of the photo. I think it's only a trick on the eyes though due to the angle cause when a ruler is placed up to it, it sure enough is straight. Very nice display of pencils. Good luck in the challenge. |

| great shot. I love the feeling in this one The lighting is great too... not too dark for all that black, but not so bright the pencil would wash out. Great job |

nice contrast, and i like the perspective and depth of field. looks like you used a wider angle lens than most as it has the nice curvey around the edges look. well done. ~mcmurma

| I like the way you have used the flat grey to make the yellow pencil stand out in this photo. I also like the diagonals. this works very well :) Now, I see some evidence of 'barrell distortion" in this photo. This is the curvature that you can see at the top and bottom of this image. The only way to correct that in an image like this is to back up a little bit with the camera... shoot the photo and then crop out the part that you want to keep :) - jmsetzler |

| DOF works here, though it's not overly necessary since the color is what makes the picture. I might suggest a pencil with a bit more color to it - Dixon-ticonderoga, for example, uses green lettering - this would stand out the pencil a bit more. |
