A leaf, is a leaf is a leaf, but I like this one very much.
Shot in my kitchen's balcony, handheld, under fluorescent light.
Set my camera's settings to "vivid color", "high sharpness", and "high contrast"; shoot. Then resized, sharpen, and saved. That's it.
This is probably too simple / uninteresting (take your pick!) but I like it. Also, I find I learnt a great deal during this challenge about camera settings, light, and overall "manual" technique. Having the best possible image to start with when you do post-processing might really be very handy. So Thank you DPC for this rule set!

| I love this image. It suits the challenge perfectly. The leaf stands out amidst all of the white. You left the shadow, which is good, so that it doesn't appear to just be floating in space. 8 |
