| I love the center focus. I wonder if a dark background would be more striking but, I can see where the light foreground and background compliment each other. Initial impression =6. Close inspection = 8 |

GREAT idea and photo. Should'e had it alll the way down - haha - or Just the eraser - just kidding. I like the composition and especially the dof. I like how the colors blend together. One small thing - wish it was just a little brighter - but not necessary. Sitll liked this very much. Good work 8

| Good use of DoF. Some might not like the pencil centered left to right but I think it gives balance. |

Lovely and like the DOF. Would like pencil on a true horizontal or further off it. Great background - not too light or too dark, has some shading to it, yet totally not interfering with rest.

| This is funny. It's interesting how the pencil is sharp, and the foreground and background have a soft focus. Pretty neat. My camera doesn't allow for me to adjust my own focus, so when I see focus tricks, it never ceases to amaze me. Neat idea for the photo. Lots of creativity this week. the lighting is great and I like the angle. Don't think I'd hang it on my wall, but that's not your fault, I just don't have a "thing" for pencils. So setting that aside, overall good photo. Good luck in the challenge. |

| This might have worked better with greater depth of field. That out of focus white patch at the bottom really bugs me. |

| Beautiful depth of field on this shot, and a really outstanding idea. I think I'd like the colors just _slightly_ moved towards brighter/bolder. An all around great photograph. 8 |
