I went with this as it was safer than the other two I liked. I just wonder if this is "nude" enough to suit the DPC crowd. Who knows.

Lit with two bedside lamps.

Knew this was you! You might have played it safe but I still think it is pretty brave of you jsut to enter. Lighting around the face to rid some shadows could have bumped this up IMHO. But still, good job.

Heehee, I did ID you correctly. :) Well, I voted this a 6 - I like the calm feel to it. And for me without my glasses at daybreak, everything's a little fuzzy anyway!

Beautiful shot. I like the low key lighting and the pose looks and feels natural. Good luck!

This actually looks like you sat there, waited for her to wake up, then take the picture. Good luck. I think the lighting is a bit flat, but because it's "daybreak, I think it's what you're looking for. Good luck.

I think this is a little too grey, could use more highlights? Looks very flat to me.

your photo looks a bit on the gray side, and a bit too much contrast in the black parts.

A very soft image and the eyes are haunting. I really like the low-key feel to this, but for me, the title doesn't quite fit. The image by itself is very good.

too dark

This reminds me of how I used to feel getting up at 5 am :)

Good show of emotion here, not wanting to get up

overall a tad too dark. crop at top is too tight.

It might have looked better with a wider tonal range. A bit more contrast might have enhanced some of the detail on her features.

I like the angles
The soft expression
Seems a tad dark, althugh you may have wanted it dark
Still I gave it a big fat 8

something awkward about the head .. maybe a pillow ??
would have liked abit more tonal range and loose the blanket wrinkles in the background ,,,

Nice soft lighting to create a nice moody image. I think if the hair wasn't laying out to the right it would make the head shape better. The crop is good. Maybe a little higher above the shoulder would have been better.

good idea but technically needs more work
01/29/2007 03:03:53 PM
Hey :) Nicely done, soft, and restrained, though a tad underexposed (although perhaps fitting for the title and scene).
01/29/2007 11:38:52 AM
too dark, would've liked to see more of the face
01/29/2007 05:00:30 AM
focus is too soft, I'm missing contrast.
01/29/2007 03:37:54 AM
I'm finding this one too dark for my liking Judy, which is a real shame as it's a wonderful portrait of you. I'm sure a little more lighting would of boosted this one a lot! Good luck with it!

it always makes me feel good to see someone who is comfortable with who they are, and you always do a fantastic job of that. forget the score & just keep being proud of who you are.
