 Ok. . .so I went down to try to get a fresh new shot of this for y'all, but being winter, it looked so brown and barren, so in the interest of showing you San Antonio's prime attraction at it's best, I decided to post one I took while the trees were still green and lush :)

This is what we are on the map for: It's the San Antonio Riverwalk. It runs right thru the downtown area, and has ambiant shops and restaurants all along the way. Since I've been showing you my Pearl photos, you'll understand something cool we are working on with the City, which is extending the Riverwalk past Pearl. So Pearl will actually BE on the Riverwalk, and it will be BEAUTIFUL! Anyway, I love it here. It's one of my favorite places to be. I always feel like I'm on vacation when I'm there.

Nice to finally see this. My husband was there a few years ago and found it charming. He referred to it (affectionately) as a "pet" river, which is surely not something we'd say about the Chicago River!

Hope to get there in person one of these days.

The primary colors are so amazing with the lush green in the background. Beautiful! May have to visit your fair city for a vacation soon.

My daughter is writing my comments this evening and she says 'that's wonderful because I like the colours of the umbrellas and the tree with all the red flowers on it.'

I have heard so much about San Antonio over the years but still have yet to get there myself to visit. This photo is so bright, cheerful and inviting. This is what I picture in my mind's eye when I think of the Riverwalk area.

hi sandy ... what a beautiful spot ... how incredibly colourful and bright .. would love to visit there ...
great photograph, excellent composition and just love the feel of the place that you seem to have captured so wonderfully ...

Excellent little glimpse of your home city. It is so nice when a community has people who understand the value of a project like this that will attract outsiders as well as benefit the local people at all levels.
I hope that the waterway will be extended to include the "Pearl" . It seems that "Riverwalk" is like having a linear park thru town. I have heard of it before.
