| This is cute and I like the angle in which it is shot....I wish that gumby and the pencil were more the focus than the paper though. I like the way gumby is looking directly at his words though..lol. Good Job |

| If my daughter's camera wasn't in the shop for repairs, I'd have to swear this was her picture! Written in my sidewalk (the day after it was poured 20 years ago) is GUMBY WAS HERE. I wouldn't have been surprised if she had come up with this pic! Really fun picture. 10 |

| Interesting concept. Judging by the holesin the paper, gumby seems a bit tense. Since everybody else harps on it, I will too... The end of the pencil seems to be a bit out of focus. Over all, this is a good picture. Focus is good, lighting is good & I actually like the subject... 7 |

I like the composition here, but the subject matter doesn't appeal to me. The black background does come through as a wonderfully rich black which is something I struggle with in my own photos.

| This would be really cool if he was writing on one of those name tags they make you wear at get togethers. I'm a big fan of gumby. I like the angle and the lighting is great. No funny shadows or bright spots. I like the soft focus on this photo. I'm not a huge fan of soft focus, but gumby isn't suposed to be sharp and crisp, so it works for me. Good luck in the challenge. |

| I love the flat black background, brings out the cartoon-y aspect of this picture. I do worry, however, that Gumby seems to have problems puncturing the paper. He may need anger management classes. |
