RAW export to B&W, Crop & level, Levels, Curves, Clone out some snow on windowpanes above the snowbank to get a flat black, resize, USM, border. Using the method so far rendered a perfectly black silhouette. I decided I wanted to see some face, so I used another layer of Levels just over her.
Downtown Toronto, though you wouldn't know it, just after a big snowstorm. I took a lunchtime walk to get a shot for this challenge and found this big snowbank in front of a scyscraper. I thought it would make a cool silhouette shot from across the road. I just had to hang out for a while and wait for a good shape to come by at the same time as a break in traffic.
Because of the 640 pixel limit, I kept fairly zoomed in, so you don't get the feeling there's a scyscraper behind the snowbanks. Oh well, maybe I'll get the pity of the quick vote. |

I like your composition. However on my monitor at least I see no detail in her clothing... do you agree? 6 Bump > 7 |

A nice phase of movement, and the silhouette. Don't like the squarish format for such a dynamic shot. I'd go for a tighter shot, with the figure completely against the snow bank. |

I like how this could either be a b&w or a color photo but just can't tell. Very dynamic the shape of the person against the mountain of snow. Nicely done! |

Many years ago there was a rock group named "Uriah Heep" that had a song titled "Lady in Black" I absolutely loved that song. This photo would be a fantastic representation of that song. The first verse is:
She came to me one morning, one lonely Sunday morning
Her long hair blowing in the mid-winter wind.
This is a very cool shot.
I'm also making this a favorite. |

Great Contrast, Black against a wall of white, however there is no pure white, it may look better if there was. |
