From the Critique Club
This shot has a nice basic composition. I like how the light beams are coming out of the clouds. I also like how you have the church and what appears to be a church building (pastors house?) both in the image.
The yard does not have a very appealing appearance. If you cropped up to the very bottom of the buildings that would have a big impact on the appeal of the image. You also are suffering from a poor exposure. A longer exposure time would have helped to brighten up the image and help to bring out more of the buildings colors.
I'm not sure what you are trying to show as far as propaganda with this image however. This also may have had a negative impact on your score also.

the church itself is pretty underexposed. |

Sometimes even a great beam of light doesn't make a shot. The church with the house next to it and the white in front of it seem to actually bring the shot down instead of lift it up. I'm sure it's a nice church and all, but the muted tones and composition seem off balanced and flat. 5 -danny |

Nice rays of light, good idea. I'd crop the bottom, it would glamorize the church better, that weedy lot is abit depressing (or did yo mean it to be ironic? then include more of the lot) Church is a bit dark - would be hard to adjust without ruining the sky - maybe some sp[ot editing after the challenge? |

good idea, but the church itself is way too dark for my liking |

Good composition. I wish the church was a bit lighter and the image was a bit sharper, but it does get the message across. |
