JerseyGenie was in town and went shooting with JimyThing and me. Unfortunately, she fell and broke her leg. She's in the ambulance whose lights are just visible to the right of the Iwo Jima Memorial.

I'm sorry I didn't get my comment here in time, but thank goodness we PM'd and I got my contribution for her flowers in on time. I've been so worried about her -- and it sounds like she has a long road before she will be back up and "running".

Thanks so much again, Jeff for being the middle man and getting this goind for her!

This is likely to be too late for the first reading, but there are many of us thinking about you and wishing you rapid recovery. It's good that you had fellow DPC'ers nearby when this happened.
Excellent exposure LJ.

Hope I'm not too late! So sorry to hear about your plight, Jeanne. The bad thing about fractures is that they really hurt. The good thing is that they heal fairly quickly. I'll be sending you vibes ~~~~> Come back soon. -- As for the photo, it's an awesome shot with the motion blur on the flag and the lighting.

I wish you a speedy recovery, Jeanne! Hang in there.

p.s. Take some pics from the perspective of a hospital bed--it's not everyday that you'll get a chance to do that!

Jeanne, Jeanne, Jeanne, whatever will we do with you. I'm glad to hear you're keeping your sense of humour.

We miss you, and really hope it's not too painful. I agree with Deb - I hope you get LOTS of pampering. O, and take lots of pics too!

best wishes,

Christian

I don't really know you, but I feel your pain. Ouch! Please, in the future remember that this is not what's meant by "taking a trip".
Make everyone take really good care of you and feel better soon. I advise using whatever meds are offered.
Remember - "no pain, no gain" is silly. My motto: "No pain, no pain."

Jeanne, That's a lousy way to have a vacation. I'm glad there were good people with you to get you help and continue to care about your health and happiness. Our thoughts are with you. Enjoy the meds, keep the pain at bay and think of this time as an opportunity to slow down. Best of luck.

Sorry you hurt yourself, but I'm wondering if you "fell" or if Jeffrey pushed you to keep you from getting the shot he wanted. *grin*

Heal quickly.

From Jeanne's biog "I enjoy playing with textures, closeups, unique angles, and different styles. I understand that playing is risky business ;-)" - I don't think she had realised it could be this risky!

Jeanne - I hope the recovery goes better than expected; on a positive note, your still life and photoshop skils will be awesome after your enforced break (ouch, pun not intended.

The statue looks a lot bigger than I thought it would be (but then again I found that was true about most things in Washington.....everything was huge!!).

Unreal about Jeanne breaking her leg!!! I hope she heals quickly.

I can verify, there was a Firetruck too! I hope she gets well soon. Also note there are no people around. When we arrived we were the only ones there. Once Jeanne had her accident about 10 bus loads of people gathered around Jeanne. After she was taken away, as you can see, empty again.
