This is another of the photos that I am changing my score on at the last moment. I like the definition of the light on the rim of the glass and I particularly liked the hues created in the martini and on the submerged pencil. The framing is quite nice too. There's one little blip of light on the right of the glass that seems too bright (nitpick). Also, the olives are essential to the photo, but their color clashes with the bright yellow of the pencil and the hues in the water. Don't know what you could have done to alleviate that except maybe experiment with different pencil colors. If it came down to it and that was going to cost you the hues in the water, I would live with the clash of the olives against the yellow. 6 (I wish I could use .5 in my score.) :-) |

I'm not sure what one of these is really suposed to look like, so I have no comparrison, but I think it looks really cool. I like how when the yellow pencil goes into the blue liquid it turns green. The light reflections are cool in the liquid. Great touch with the olives. Good luck in the challenge. |

I like the colors in this, but the olives look flat or dull to me compared to the liquid. (Yes, I know, olives aren't exactly the brightest food around, but . . .) Would it have been possible to make them a littler greener? karmat |

I love the lighting and color in this photo... I especially like the way the pencil plays a 'subtle' role in the image... This is creative :) Good shot! = 9 - jmsetzler |

Well, my first thought about this photo was.... LEAD POISONING! That's what I would have named it! Nice color, but that is about all I like of this photo. Obviously a thought out and creative attempt on the photographer. Nice job. The photographer DEFINITELY has a sense of humor! Ummm now i'm hungry for olives! |

Good effect. I think I might have centered it more to the left, to show the olives better, but maybe you tried this and liked this one better. I like the colors... the look of the liquid, and the detail showing the rim of the glass. |

Wow, that's beautiful. I'm very impressed. Just love that light play in the glass. Ditto on the rim of the glass. Love the colorationof the pencil. Great composition. This is going to be oneof my favorites this week. An 8 for now (my max on the first round of voting); will revisit this lateron this week. Congrat on a superb image. Journey |

I'll have mine shaken if you are going to stir it with that! Somehow feel you've missed the pencil/ olive a bit - it is sliding out to the bottom right. Imaginative entry though. |

Creative. Might like to see one end or the other of the pencil to make it a little stronger but overall very nice - like the color of the vodka/gin |

Great idea, but I'd definitely like to see more of the pencil. I think even a side view of the glass with the pencil/olives against the black background would be stunning. |
