i'm curious to know what all of the pencils are too stay so packed together. I like the lighting as it is but I would prefer slightly better focus on the front pencils. neat idea |

Great idea! I almost wish this were zoomed out a bit so you could see more of the structure. Original. Lisa |

Pencils. Definately a lot of pencils. Great photo. You captured the flame nicely. You wouldn't want to see my attempt at photographing fire. I like how the pencils are lined up. repetition always catches my eye. lighting is good. there might be a tad bit of glare on the erasers in the front, but not enough to really distract from the photo. overall a great job. Good luck in the challenge. |

Lovely colours, form and idea, not 100% sure about the cropping. (Just my tastes). 6, Kavey |

Great idea, nice framing, and good color. I'll even forgive you for the pun. ;-)

Very nicely done! I like the composition and the angle. Excellent shot - you can clearly see the pencil tip throught the flame. (If I had to mention anything at all, would be the {dare I say} slight glare in the front.) I still enjoyed this very much. Great work 10 Ruthann |

I love it when a picture evokes some emotional response from me... and my favorite is humour. Thanks for making me laugh. Not only is it imaginative and innovative... it's a good picture too. LOVE the title! |

I just knew that someone would submit a pencil on fire. The effect of the pencils en masse is very nice. So, is the burning pencil. Overall though when I look at this I find the image rather contrived and say "So what?". What's the photographer trying to convey other than presenting me with some cool effects. 5 Journey |
