 Yup, you're right. The eye was a photograph. However, actual eye makeup was applied to the photograph of the eye with the eye pencil to make the "pencil" act as a "regular" drawing pencil AND an eye makeup pencil. Don't think anyone is going to get that, but hey, It amused me beyond belief. Also, the title (although subtle) MAY help people to look a little closer at the photo.

i came across this photo in the forums
maybe it's just a personal quirk, but i don't like the long nail

Clever use of an advertising picture. Certainly makes a person look more than once! Different take on the Pencil theme. Good focus, but in my opinion, it's cropped a bit tight.

I'm guessing this is a photo of an eye coz it looks strangely flat and yet not... because of that I find myself staring at it in a way I wouldn't necessarily do if it were a straight shot... it just makes it more interesting.
Of course, if it is a real eye, I am talking out of my you know what, but then am left wondering about the angles!

At first I thought this was a photograph of a an eye but, on closer examination I think it's a macro of a real eye. It's very good, you will have to clarify this for us when the voting is over. =8 syamjonimi ;'-D

Nice touch how you actually used an eye pencil to draw on a drawing. Clever! Good clarity and good composition. Original too. What I don't like is the finger on the foreground. Because it is so close to the lens it is badly distorted and it reads as a very ugly shape. Because it is in the foreground it attracts quite a bit of attention, too. Otherwise great. 6 Journey

The glare on the eye, mainly the disc right by the pupil, is distracting here. I like the level of detail shown otherwise, and it's a good effort.

Something about this eye just looks off to me. Was it printed and the liner is being applied to the paper? I can't quite put my finger on what bugs me here. 5

the composition is good. I would not have shown the words "eye pencil" as it is not necessary and somehow detracts a little. Nonetheless yours was the best of the bunch in my opinion.
