This is a very strange photo. I would like to have seen this at a different angle with less stuff in the background. the angle this was taken at, makes it kind of hard to tell exactly what we are looking at with the spot where the pencil goes in at isblending in with the black spot on the cow. lighting is ok. there is a glare on the photo in the back left and on the table right in front. otherwise, humor factor is high. good luck in the challenge. |

creative but a bit too busy of a shot to appeal to me. I wish the focus was more on Salvestor and Tweedy in the front with more of the background blurred. I think that would have made a clearer picture. Or, if there was a backdrop(even just a wall) right behind the pencils so I was not so distracted by some of the other objects. meets the challenge in a creative way = 5 |

that looks painful! there's too much clutter in the background of this photo, i am especially intrigued by what you have framed there. labels? stickers? beer mats? and why is the hardhat there? all that distracts from the actual subject -- gr8photos (3) |

Focus seems to be on the white hat. I don't care for your angle of attack, it's too hard to see "what's going on". I don't get the pencil coral or the stuff in the background. Sorry, 5, Swash |

It looks like your focus was on the white (hat?) thing on the right hand side... There is alot of things here that I'm not sure if you wanted in the shot... For instance, did you mean to include the smoke detector in the upper right? or the chair, the speaker, etc? Perhaps you could have made the subject clearer if you put a 'background' behind your subject... Something as simple as a piece of construction paper, propped up behind the pencils could have improved the shot greatly... Always try to remember that the background is there... It was one of the hardest lessons for me... |

file looks too compressed and the majority of the picture is out of focus. My eyes are drawn to twitty & the cat but I can't clearly see them. |

I find this photo a little crowded - I am not seeing the reasons behind the choices about what has been included in foreground and background. The immediate foreground being out of focus doesn't appeal to me (I appreciate it may be intentional) and the pillows, white hat and magnets are distracting. I apologise if my comments are discouraging, and am happy to discuss them via PM if you would like to. Kavey |
