This picture is very sharp, except for the pencil shavings. Don't care all that much for the composition. The pencil is the exact diagonal of the picture frame and effectively divides the picture in half. Colors are a little weak as well, e.g. the green of the sharpener doesn't complement any colors. 5 Journey

Nice idea, but composition seems a little awkward. Everything seems weighted to the left lower corner. By moving the pencil and sharpener up and to the right a little instead of dividing the diagonal of the picture from corner to corner might be effective.

Angle is perfect on this. I like how you have this set up. Lighting is great, no distracting shadows, or reflections. The mid section of the pencil is a tad bright, but it doesn't take away from the photo. I like how the pencil sharpener has kind of a rainbow-ish oily look. Makes it kind of prism like. The shavings add a nice touch as well. Nice job and good luck in the challenge.

Like the ingredients but not the composition. The rich black background makes your photo look more professional. I want tips!

Great work, I like the angle. The black is very black - nice. I like how the pencil almost seems to bend in the middle (could be me staring at the screen for too long. lol) I also like the composition, with the shavings off to the side. Great work 9
