Sydney Opera House at dawn. Critique . . . Could this be made more interesting or dramatic?

Not really a good contre-jour for me. 5

I am starting to feel that I've seen a bit too much of this opera house. Nice image though, I like the minimal processing, I think this may be the first time I see the subject as it really is.

ah, yes, brings back memories. Taken from Circular Cay near George Street area in The Rocks. Nice shot.

A 2 for 1, or just a popular place? :D Same location and time for a 'Free Study' shot (that I happened to really like BTW). :)

This one is tough to grade for me personally, because the backlighting is not only strong, but wide. I'm sure it fits the challenge theme correctly and such, but I'm kind of liking some of the images where the sun is a little more controlled. Hope that makes sense.

Compositionally, you've done a nice job capitalizing on the reflections in the water by positioning the structure in the upper third of the photo and leaving plenty of room for the water.

All of the above is JMO of course. :D Good luck in the challenge.

ok .. i know its straight
but it looks like it's tilted

i think a different crop may have helped this I.E. zoom in on the center

Would that be the H.M.S.Contralto docking at the Sydney Opera House "down-under"? :}

i don't mind the looot of water (it works fine here) but I'd cut a bit on the right.. it's distracting. maybe a little more saturation, 6

Nicely done having light on both sides of the subject,rather than silhouette.
