Hi Deb! I did NOT vote in the challenge because I just hate looking at bugs - seriously! And I love this! Your focus on the subject is awesome. Your composition is great and I love the blurred background. On the technical side of things, this is one of your best.
Now about your score. You will find that voters typically do not like OUT OF THE BOX pictures. They like 'em nice and literal. Plus it is possible you could have lost some people who have never been fishing (it is possible!). You did not deserve a lot of those low scores. Instead, focus on the 26 people who thought your pic was better than 5!!!

| I wonder how many DPCers have a sense of humor.. I think its great and meets the challenge in an original manner. The photo is composed with a nice DOF. |
