Colors are pretty drab due to lighting. Also I think you should have narrowed your road a bit. If you think about the scale, that's a really wide road, heh. Narrowing it would also give you less empty white space. You could get closer and not even have the empty white spaces to the sides. I think that would help pull the viewer down the street with the "fleas."
This isn't a great shot, but I did give you a boost for creativity. |

| I'll have to trust you that those are fleas :) But for a set-up shot, I would expect better lighting, or at least enough to get a proper exposure. |
