 The focus is a little goofy on this one. Sometimes I like it and sometimes I don't.

(I do know that I feel quite happy that spring has arrived!)


Not a straight b/w, this is actually a quadtone but close enough, right?

Now I have no troubles with goofy foci, but you know that if you want it to look sharper, you get rid of them gummy yellows. Yah, you prolly know. I like the understatedness of this shot. It's pleased just to be itself.

The DOF is wonderful and the black background really makes those tiny blooms pop!

appropriate excellent subtle toning. My guess this big bloom is from a shrub & difficult to close focus - good work.
