Ew. Can't say I'd go for green eggs and ham - good job getting it to look so green (although, technically, no one ever said the ham had to be green, LOL)! |

Greetings from the Critique Club -
Hey Susan. You surely met the challenge criteria with this shot. But overall its not an appealing image. Granted I am not really sure how I would go about making an image of green eggs and ham appealing in the first place myself.
Looks like you have some slight noise issus going on with your background. Most likely from the hue shift. I struggle at times trying to change the hue of my images without getting some sort of noise into the image. And I know that its all supposed to be green, but it might be a bit too flourescent. I cant believe I am saying your eggs are too green. ;)
Your presentation of the plate could have been better had you been a bitmore on top of the plate. I think that if you had caught the shot with the eggs more prevalent and visible rather than from this side position your overall composition may have been better. And maybe not so tight as crop to get the whole plate in.
Your focus and sharpness look good. I like the fork sticking out. What kind of lightbox are you using?
Again - its tough to make subject matter like this look pretty. Hang in there and keep shooting. I look forward to seeing your future entries. Good luck!
Tim

Oh dear, not more of these green eggs and ham.
If I ate these I'd need a medical exam!
The colors you made, they could not have been easy,
But looking at this, makes my stomach quite queasy!
Love the fork, it's a nice touch to give it more of that Seuss-y feel, but really, that is some of the most unappetizing food! I don't know what Geisel was thinking when he wrote that! The lighting here is a bit harsh for me with that big shadow but at least you weren't using the onboard flash to make those greens even more unappealing! :) |

Nice work with the selective colouring. Not sure about the lighting though. Can't quite put my finger on why, but it just doesn't look right... |

I do not like them in a box.
I do not like them with a fox.
I do not like them in a house.
I do not like them with a mouse.
I do not like them here or there.
I do not like them anywhere.
I do not like green eggs and ham.
I do not like them, Sam-I-am.
No, No, No, green ham is not said! The filter you use made you photo look dead. I like it yes? I like it no? To you way I must say.. a three will go your way 3/10. |
