Brilliant photo here, really like the subject!...
The background colours, and the colour of the flower go well, these details add those few extra points for me. The only thing I would have liked to see was this a little sharper.
Well done! 10 |

8. I would have like to have seen a tighter crop, and more DOF. |

How on earth did you manage this??!! The colors in the shot work very well together, and the dof directs the eye immediately to the main focus of the shot. I am anxious to see what kind of lens you shot this with. |

Awesome Shot! Awesome detail that you can even see the pollen on the little guy. I think this may be one of the top 3. Good luck with the challenge!!! |

Top two. Sure nice shooting and fantastic color. I'm not too crazy about some of the blur on his back. It looks odd or smoothed. Still will get a ribbon and it's well earned. Nice work. |

damn you people who live in places warm enough to still have bugs. or did you freeze one like jacko? anyway - this is great...similar to things done by the likes of Crabappl and quadrajet very successfuly in the past (if memory serves). love the crop - seems to comply with rule of thirds (though i hate rules)...colour is inviting, and the focus is spot on. I see this doing very well this week. |
