Lisae, titled as self portrait, this would have been seen as a bold, artistic move, but as the model/artist roles weren't clear, I had to question this. If this were me taking this of my wife, she agreed, my camera would be in pieces. I think my wife has a wonderful shape, but alas, she does not, so you won't be seeing this much of her, ever. I made no comment about your shape, let's just leave it at "I'd be happy to see you dance for me." Thanks Annida for this insight. Titled as "Me after a shower", would have netted you at least a couple extra points from me. All Smiles. Rob |

I'm sorry you scored so low. You quite certainly should have gotten a much better vote for this. The composition of the....anyways, very nice looking, very very nice. I wish I knew a woman that looked like this. |

I don't know why, and I really refrained from saying anything this week, but I was just positive this was your photo, Lisae. Isn't it wierd the way intuition works? I just KNEW it was you....never met you, never spoken to you, never had any contact with you outside of dp. Bizarre!
Oh well, I liked the picture anyway. People suck!

I love your boobs! NIPPLE! -Annida
Actually, I've met lisae, and she's not fat at all. People thinking she's fat in any way are short sighted and rather sad. She even belly danced for me! oooh baby! |

I'm OK with all the comments, I guess I expected them. It's interesting that people think women will always get angry if someone takes an "unflattering" photo of them! I think that's actually what I really wanted to play with here, because the topic of "candid" is all about stripping away the artifice and getting to reality, and this kind of photo is as real as it can get for a woman. I got what I wanted, so I'm happy :)
As for people thinking I'm fat... well, I'm a short, top-heavy person and if you only see the top half I think it does make me seem larger than I am :). I'm not thin, that's for sure, but I like my body. |

Knowing that this is a self portrait changes things a bit. This is definitely a slice of life. I am sorry some were so rude and short sighted as they are. It is nice to see you can share so openly. |

Bravo Lisa!! Sorry I didn't get to comment earlier, I've been really sick and then out of town for the weekend. I admire this, and even more since it's a self portrait! ~Heather~ |

I'm sure your subject really appreciated that! The background speaks untidyness, detracting from this picture. The light coming in through the windows is also distracting. |

i dig this--nice mood portrayed here. it is definitely a part of our everyday life. (because of the somewhat monochrome color scheme going on here--just for fun i took the liberty of throwing it in photoshop and changing it to black and white with a little grain-- and liked that too, because the windows give a cool overblown effect there as well.) anyway, nice framing and composition on this one and i also like the subtle motion blur. 8--amitchell |

The picture makes me feel a voyeur, intentionally. She is just herself, she can't help it that we have to look. Good atmosphere. |

Nice exposure, the 'blur' movement under the arm is very appropriate I think in term of not offense people.Good composition.Meet the challenge yes. Appealing photo : not specifically. Overall 6, might come back for a 7. ok .. 7 right now. I like the expression of the face. |

Unless this is a self portrait, she should shoot you for this. Very unflattering. Huge amounts of glare behind her and on the right. The woman's face is very clear. I understand the pit rub motion, but I think it wasn't necessary. 6 Swash |

Very nice shot... I like the focus of the face given the motion in the arm -- good shot, esp. for a slow shutter speed. Here's hoping it was authorized for posting; very brave of the model and photographer. Well done & Good Luck. |

Interesting shot... Nice composition... But I'm wondering why you opted for such a small file size? The pixels hurt... If this is a limitation of your camera, then please ignore this... |
