This is quite out of focus, I'm afraid. Otherwise it does indeed look like a "contemplative" pose.

Focus is off quite a bit and exposure seems to have been difficult. Looks like you might have had to compensate on the lion a bit too much in pp. I would expose for the lion, accepting the extreme highlight of the foreground, then maybe burned in the foreground just to take the shine off.

Photo is not crisp and clear. Looks almost like it was cropped from a much larger photo. Beautiful subject though...

I am not a good photographer, I do not claim to be better than anyone, any criticism is meant to be constructive criticism......
