excellent shot... garlic is one of my favorite additions to my own cooking :) The lighting on this shot is just a bit strong, but the composition is excellent... good work = 7 - jmsetzler

The lighting is way too harsh... soften it up and the picture would be quite good

I like the highly sharpened effect on this one.

needs more color... use other end of garlic...

I almost took a picture of a 2-pound bag of peeled garlic cloves (at a local supermarket), but your's looks much more appetizing.

Like the monochromatic feel of this shot. Just can't tell if it's been desaturated or if it's in colour but the subjects are so nearly BW. :)

Good: Sharp pic, interesting angle.
Not so good: lighting too intense. A white bed sheet or pillow cover may be helpful for softening sunlight when "out in the field."

Lovely sharp focus and stark contrast. I also like the framing. 8 - floyd

Neat photo! I really like the detail in the roots (?). Never thought of garlic as a fruit or vegetable, but I guess it really could be. Cool. I like the angle and the framing is good. The lighting is very nice for this photo. I like the shadows. Great job, and good luck in the challenge. ~hbunch7187~

Great shot, great composition and good lighting. My only beef, and it's small, is that it looks just a tad like it's been over sharpenedâ€Â¦
