The graininess and barely visible figure at the bottom of the steps works very well here. The tan areas are almost a frame around the black mysterious basement.

This pic just doesnt do it for me. I understand the concept but I feel would have been better if stairs more in focus.

don't know what to make of this, it's not very interesting but i'm really drawn to it. I think the noise adds to the mood of the picture as it's got a fine art feel to it.

every young childs fear - the dreaded basement. The noise works well for this image. I like that you only let us see a subtle hint of a person at the bottom of the stairs

This could be so great. To much noise and you don't see the child. Try it again- less light and longer exposure. Nice try.

not to be picky but i think a shot behind the kid looking down the stairs would have had a better effect.
