| great framing, I think the image would look a little more pleasing in the yellow tone was removed, making the meat of the apple look a little fresher. |

Nice title, good set up shot. No glaring issues, and the slice does offer more interest than many of the still lifes, but I feel interest is still on the lower side.

| nice idea and tied in well with the caption. i love the angle, and your DOF. not totally sure about the diagonal lines in the wood, would it have been possible to take the shot with the lines running towards the apple? nice black background. -- gr8photos (9). |

I find the diagonal shadows, or are they part of the wood in the table quite distracting. Without thos it would be "Killer".

| Nice apple! I like the background and the surface the apple are sitting on. Very nice touches. The angle and framing are really good and the lighting is also nice for the photo. I like this - has a warm feeling - very simple, great composition (funny title - goes along with the warm, sad feeling). Perhaps just a little to much light/exposure on the inside of the apple - but not a big deal. excellent work 10

| At first this image didn't grasp me. But after I watched it for awhile, I really liked the starkness of straight edge of the wood when compared with the fuzzy round edge of the apple. Very nice. - phlebotiss |
