wow, what a fantastic shot! How did I miss this one? Excellent B&W conversion. I'm sure they loved this one!

Thought this was fantastic and am surprised it didn't score much higher. Very nice work!

Wow, awesome lighting. A stunning portrait. Should have been easily a six. I guessing because the subjects are not engaged with the viewer, which I think is the literal definition of portrait. I love the shot.

I love this! I felt so sad when I heard about that. Thank you for paying such a beautiful tribute to them. I think the lighting on this is awesome! Their faces glow with natural light, giving them a sense of nobility and honor.

Fabulous job as always!!!!

really nice work Catherine. I love the expressions of these two guys. The one thing that was bothering me is that these guys looked like they were posing for another photog and you happened to get this shot. If they were focused on you, this would have been a 10. By the way, the b/w conversion was spot on and really gave this a boost. 8 during challenge.

I really like the tones. The only thing is maybe too much dodging or too much light on the fellow in front. Other wise a nice capture.

I don't care for the composition & the title seems disconnected to their emotion. The lighting & post treatment is nice, though.

The b&w tones are brilliant and alive in this photo. You also captured a the soft and wonderful charm of the two firefighters. Excellent portrait!
