Finger and fingernail are very distracting.
Even with that picture, it could have been chopped out. It has a nice background. And its a good photo.

When we got my kid's turtle 'Seven' (See Macro III challenge) he was about that size. Now he's WAY bigger! I would have liked to see more turtle and less finger though.

Tiny! Lovely details on the stripes. Wish you could have gotten a bit greater DOF. The dark blue background works well out of focus, but I'd like to see more of the turtle clearly. Also maybe cropped a bit less of the turtle and the finger holding it.

sorry the fingernail is just too intrusive. I know the finger gives a wonderful sense of scale but the bright white of the nail takes over the focus of the picture

Try smaller aperture. Otherwise, great composition. He looks pretty badass protecting his hood like that.

Definitely, your image will be better if your finger doesn´t appear on your composition. Furthermore, the light is not the best.

A lovely beast it looks a little out of focus and the image is a little small but I like it.

seems a little out of focus.

The bright pick of your finger and nail detract from your main subject a bit (they're as big as the turtle and thus fight for attention as an important element) The turtle is quite interesting and I'd like to see him larger and alone in the shot

I find the pink under a bit distracting. Nice focus on the eyes.

Nice Macro shot, without the finger I would have thought the turtle was much bigger. I think it may have been even better if you would have used natural light as the flash is a bit harsh especially on the fingernail. Very good detail and color though.
