This was a fun shoot, the sycamore was originally photographed four days before the challenge began as an interesting study. Several days into the challenge I decided to experiment with the bark in Photoshop and came up with a design that seemed to create a lot of rhythm. A friend in Florida liked it so much she titled it dancing to Zydeco at Mardi Gras. Unfortunately, I couldn't enter it into the challenge because the original photo was incorrectly dated. So I decided to do a reshoot of the same sycamore and re-do the comp. Ironically, it took me quite awhile to locate that same tree in fact, I walked the woodsy trails for the better part of an hour before I finally found it. The reshoot came out a lot better with my new Sigma lens and the end result is also much better. I just hope it meets the challenge.

Did you use a mirrored method? Is that legal?
