| "Remember your death". Creative approach to the challenge. I like that. The face depicts the memento mori theme fine. The lighting is interesting. However it has a bit too much contrast for my taste. -stephan |

| Very powerful. It evokes death in all the blackness, and the blankness of the face, but seems to give the impression of life in the blood red mid-tones. It isn't about death, it's about the knowledge of death, according to the title. It seems like a moment when the inevitability of death has come upon you. Great work. 10 - lisae |

I really like the way the high and low intensity exposure comes together in this photo to create the image... My impression of this photo is that I'm viewing a dead man from inside the coffin just as the lid is closed and sealed... Very nice work!

| the reddish color to the face is nice, but the lighting on the top of the head is a tad bit too harsh and detracts from the overall feel. |
