This really looks dreamy and wonderful. I love the editing, the lighting, the soft glow but especially the red cast over your girl.
She really is beautiful by the way. You've got a good model, she's got a great photographer. |

a little too strong on the gaussian blur, but other than that it's pretty good. |

Gave you a "10" on this one. Thought that you were going to get a much higher score. I think this shot should be considered your best shot ever. The lighting is awesome. Soft lighting works perfectly.
This is a photography resume shot. Take some more like this go to her school and become the new school portrait photographer. It's that good.
School pictures can be very expensive. You could be an option for the students that can't afford the school ones. Plus you can probably deduct taxes for all the props and gear. |

Deannda, due to the fact that I'm very overworked and stressed out, I did not have a chance to vote on this shot. I didn't even see it until your forum thread... I would have given it an 8 (and I don't give out 8-10 lightly...)
This is a very BEAUTIFUL shot of a beautiful model! The soft focus affect is awesome and IMHO makes the shot. It is also one of the few times (in a non soft focus challenge) that it really makes sense to use this affect! In your notes it says that you softened in post editing. I would like to know which technique you used.
Your lighting is great. You are just a touch overexposed in the background, but it is not really that important here.
Overall a great shot and one to be proud of. Don't let scores bring you down!
Yours (as always)

As others have said - this shot is perhaps a fraction overexposed but what a lovely dreamy shot. The lighting behind her creating the glow and the dreamy soft-focus effect are great. It's a really good example of soft-focus making sense.
The beautiful skin and soft flowing hair really create an angelic effect as well. I really must try some portrait photography myself. |

Probably trying to create a dreamy image, but this is a little to soft for my tastes. Is the face a tad overexposed? |

Too soft for me (but I'm not a fan of that soft focus effect in portraits) and lighting is too strong... though that does support the angelic, virginal theme so it's not necessarily a bad thing. |

Doesn't appeal and can't attribute pic to theme. |

Nice soft focus, gives expression of soft texture of skin of the model and her clothes. Good lightning setup though im not sure if the face is litle to overlighted. Very good shot |

Interesting approach, I like the white background with the white wrap around her, but the light seems a little harsh especially on her forehead. 6 |

nice use of soft focus and backlighting. the negative space is a little unbalanced to me - either put her more to the left or keep her in the center i think. lovely model. |
