Some old photos I bought at an antique store, because I buy old photos... I'm funny that way.

Some dried vegetation that skewsme always has around... she's funny that way.

A luna moth that inserted itself into my windshield wiper and died... he's funny that way.

Put it all together and you have a Victorian scrapbook. I had to do the b/w treatment because in color it was too obvious how bad the lighting and focus was.

mix ingredients on a black photo album. use tripod for long exposure in poor light. set iso to 200 and aperture to 4.5 (should have used a narrower aperture, duh). multiply the red channels to black and white. use curves to bring out some highlights and increase contrast. colorize to sepia. sharpen to taste.

The title: this feels like a page from a scrapbook commemorating a summer of a young woman, a summer in which she lost some things and found others.

Funny I thought this was a posthumous original. I forsee a book of other's memories.

I knew this was yours, but that didn't affect my rating -- I gave it a 9 anyway. :P

I liked the B&W for this, because an old scrapbook would have had black pages and b&w photos. And the slight sepia gives it a feeling that the subject is black and white, not just the photo. Partial saturation might have been effective for the flower, but then it wouldn't have been your image. I like the composition and the light.

Interesting collection of items. The moth looks like it is just kind of floating there in the pic.

I know you are trying to tell a story, but I can't identify anything specific other than the moth and what look like old photos of people.

Seems a bit too much going on with this photo. It takes the focus away from your subject. Perhaps if the other items weren't in focus or in shadows.
