Decided to take a picture of the fastest closing thing I could think of. Took quite a few tries and a lot of jumpy nerves.

Can't remove hand sadly without cutting out the various parts of the trap.

Taken at 1/6400 of a second. Not sure if I could get it in focus even at 1/8000 in full sunlight due to how fast the jaw moves (definitely a future experiment though). Not even sure if 1/8000th of a second is fast enough to capture the jaw closing period heh. If only there was a camera with a faster shutter speed lol.

Thanks for those of you who realized how hard this shot was, technically-speaking. Sadly, it still came out crappy looking, so the score is reasonable considering.

Still learning and there's always the next challenge though ;)

Good capture, but whatever is in the forground kills the shot

Cool idea. Wish it was cropped tighter, though. Otherwise very nice.

Nice action shot.

Good action here...

are those your fingers?

The shot is blur. Perhaps you shall use a faster shutter speed. And what's the hand doing in the frame. It spoils the shot.

I'd be interested in seeing this with a tighter crop.

This would have been a "killer" with the mouse:)

Bet your fingers got caught a few times with this shot :P. Great idea, cool capture.

Nice action shot. Great idea. The object in the foreground is a little distracting, but I realize how hard it would have been to get this shot. Good job.

OK, you may get killed by some voters for the lack of focus but I like this shot. In encapsulates closing, motion and power. Shame that it couldnt be cropped to remove the blob in the left hand corner, but cool nonetheless

Hey, I thought of that too. Nice and simple, pleasing composition.
