Not the same as but this gives me an opportunity to submit something where I got to play with the color. This will not be ribbon winning material for sure. I predict a big DPCya for this one.

I think this is quite striking - a good "in the spirit of" deja vu, instead of a point by point copy.

I think this is an absolutely lovely shot. The color contrast between blue and yellow is pleasing and soothing. I really like that you didn't copy the original shot - you just used the idea as inspiration and created your own unique version.

This is so pretty. I love those bright complimenting colors, and the balance between sharp and bokeh. You did good!

The radial shape of the blooms from top left to bottom right is nice. 7

Love the splashes of bold yellows on the blue background. It really pops visually off the page. I also like the change of using a different flower in which the center portion of the flower extrudes out - just another little visual element for the eye to appreciate and it makes the flowers stand out more. I do like the bokeh effect on where the flowers in the background are blurred but I do wonder if it would have more visual "pop" if you increased the DOF such that the foreground & background are in sharper detail. Square crop keeps our attention nice and focused on the main subjects. Color and lighting is spot on. Great job here!

This feels very harsh compared to the original. But good contrasting colours.

I like how the blue makes the flowers pop out really well. Too bad the flowers arent as lively this time of year though, some of them look like they are close to the end.

Lovely shot!

One day, the Pixie Dust Faeries breezed through a field of flowers, sprinkling Blue Magic on all the flowers in the land. All of the flowers turned a lovely shade of blue. However, there were these one group of flowers that simply refused to turn blue! Their yellow heads stood out amongst all of the other blue flowers, standing proud and tall. Their bright yellow shone out from a sea of blue, making them more special than the rest. And, try as they may, the Faeries just simply could not turn these flowers into the shade of blue that all of the others had turned. They were simply far too resilient to ever conform.

And, so they stand today.....the yellow flowers in a blue world, bringing happy smiles to all that have the luck to gaze upon their beauty. Some will say that they do not fit in. Others will say.....they stand out. I, personally, believe that they have chosen to "stand out" and be themselves with will and determination because afterall, they are beautiful and they have learned to recognize that fitting in, doesn't necessarily mean "beauty"!

Nice take on the blueness of the background. At first glance, it looks like your white balance is of, but then the original has the same effect. Very interesting.
