If the photo had something with a soft focus in the foreground to indicate a 'Shallow Depth of Field' I would have given it another point.

beautiful shot, the background color and the subtle blue vase work well together, the brightness of your subject in contrast with your background is great, makes your subject really stand out.

Nice use of DOF to separate the flower from the vase and the whole thing from the background. The vase comes across as misty and mysterious.

Now this is lighting. A rather beautiful image too, although I can't see it getting very far past the flower police, but I've been wrong many times. great depth and texture to the flower, great use of the technique.
