Greetings from the Critique Club :)
This is definitely interesting texture. Other than that, I struggle to find a particular point of interest in the image other than the texture itself. This photo may have been a good candidate for a black and white. It would also possible be stronger at a different time of day when the sun is low in the sky and creating some shadows within your textures. I think the camera tilt here is a good choice :) |

The angle you have chosen here is dizzying -- very effective in that regards. Perhaps shooting at a different time of day (something I understand may not have been possible) would help keep the water and sky from looking blown out. |

i am not sure the purpose of the rotate. i guess to create moreinterest, but the horizan does sorta bug me a bit.... .. but nice repetition. |

like the twist a lot! More detail in the sky would be benneficial. |

The non-level horizon bothered me on this, as the more I looked at it, the less I liked the cropping, which is really too bad, I like the rest of this composition. The highlights might be a little bright, but it isn't by very much. |

I'm not sure the angled composition works well here. |

I like the dramatic tilt, and i find the scene very intriguing. I have never seen anything like it before. |

Graphically interesting, though i think perhaps you've relegateed the caps of the defences somewhat by your composition. The eyeis pulled by that brightness and the curve of the mass of wall to the open sea, which is perhaps not your intent? |

i really like how you've tried to use a unique perspective. not many people do. however, i am not totally sold on it in this picture because of the very strong horizon, and the imbalence it creates having it tilted. if the horizon wasn't so defined i would be all for the tilt. |

I see the texture, but the subject and composition just don't hold my interest. |

A good case for looking around to see the obvious and make it exciting. This exciting composition works well for the texture challenge. Bet you wish you held it out for the "Mundane" event. Works for both! |

How bizarre. A wacky interpretation of texture! |

I think this is a great take on this challenge, a very good subject. I feel the water and sky seem to dominate a good portion of the image, it's a shame you didn't (couldn't?) shoot this from a bit higher vantage point. |
