Photo taken while returning home for Mom's funeral. One snow storm has recently come thru and another was on the way. Just barely reached the beach in time after driving 12 hours.
Had a couple of other shots I considered for 'Best of 2007', but this has some sentimental value for me. I spent numerous hours on this beach with my Mom and Sister as a kid in the summertime. |

Barry, Stunning photograph. I have never seen snow on a beach. You had me wondering what I was looking at for a moment. |

I'm glad I came back to look at this again - the more I look at it, the more I like it. I love the angle, but that you still kept the horizon level. Don't know what it is about snow fences, but I do love to see them. This is very nice. |

Beautiful! I like the golden cast to the water, and the ominous sky. The person adds a point of interest to the photo. |

Understand that you probably included the fence to convey the winter feel and isolation of a closed beach...unforetunately it ruins a nicely captured image IMO. As for the burning in the sky...don't mind the bottom half, but that one dark patch above the main clouds is too distracting. Great potential. Good Luck. 6. |

well. I am a sucker for lonely beach images, fences and soft pastel colors...you nailed them all here. I like the lone silhouette too at water's edge. very poignant feel, but also peaceful, and the clouds are great without being over processed |
