 C D surface. For the "macro" side challenge. Day 1
50mm f1.4 Nikkor S + M2 ext tube.
I put a light next to a cd and moved around until it looked colorful.
Not edited. The surface of the cd is not as smooth as it looks, so it breaks up light into rainbow colors when a bright light is on it. The 1.4 aperture is the reason for the softness.

A really pleasant abstract, although I might be tempted to crop the lower left corner off a little bit, as I find that the strong line ending spoils the effect somewhat.

The colors are vibrant and exciting. Looks like some sort of surreal flame shooting out. Great idea with the light.

Interesting idea to focus on a small section of light and not necessarily the object itself. I wonder if a long exposure and a moving light source would look interesting or like a disastrous mess.
