 had so much fun with this challenge. I went down to our Riverwalk on a beautiful night and LOVED shooting all the festive colors and boats and umbrellas and lights. I'm sure everyone isn't going to think my photo is as cool as I do -- but that matters not this time. I love it! And I think if the voters trash it (which I realize full well they may). . .well. . .then they are just stupid :) tee hee. . . just kidding. . .sort of.

Sandy, what a cool shot, I love the way you have created the musical notes in the air through camera movement and the fact that they are dancing above the heads of the people just adds to the sense of wonderment and fairytale

The way you have still retained the colours of the umbrellas is cool and adds even more verve to the shot

Let me tell you that score isnt too bad at all (well not for us mere mortals anyway) but I do think its great that this is a photo that you love and that voters opinions do not matter a jot

When I saw this during the challenge, my first thought was it was Christmas on a warm day. The lights above the umbrellas caught my attention. I liked the triangles and the smaller lights above look like Christmas trees. I like how the people look like they've been stamped into the photo too.

They didn't trash it, but I think it should have scored higher than it did! A lovely shot - I wondered if this might be yours and I recognized the Riverwalk. Gotta say it looks wonderful blurred!

well SandyP this is absolutely wonderful .. the colours .. the movement .. those ppl all blurry and almost like ghostly spectres .. love the way you've created designs with the lights .. just brilliant .. :)

This is a very interesting shot..I love the repeating patterns of the lights. I haven't liked a whole lot of the camera shake shots, but this one is very well executed and really makes a nice photo.
