This is quite beautiful. Lovely, pastel colors. The impressionism of the butterfly. I think your score should be more in line with the commenters.

I thought this would have scored higher too. I love the soft blur on the flowers and the butterfly in the background is a nice surprise. Clever way to take this pic!

I see you have comments saying it's out of focus but not blurred. Pretty semantic stuff. As I've commented on a couple of other shots that seemed to fall outside the (stricter?) boundaries of the challenge, no one can take the beauty of the shot away from you.
FWIW, being out of focus creates blur in my book :)

Lots of things seem to work well on your photo. The square crop, the hint of a butterfly in the background and the soft focus of the flowers all come together for an excellent "blurry mess" picture. Should finish in top ten I think.

A soft and gentle use of blur - the butterfly is only barefly there, quietly enjoying its morning. Really quite lovely.

I really like this. The flower doesn't look real with the background. It reminds me of the Charlie and the Chocolate Factory movie, It looks like an edible flower.
