Hopefully this meets the challenge. It's chaotic, it's blurred, it's disorganized, and yet I think the color of the lights and the silhouettes of the travelers make it interesting. It's supposed to represent that harried, hurried blur things become when traveling all day. At least that's what I set out to capture!

Shot from the stairs that go to a restaurant in the train station in Frankfurt. Zoomed the 10-22, shot handheld, slightly underexposed in manual mode. Post processing includes levels, hue/sat, selective color, sharpening, Neat Image, crop, resize.

Love the streaky colors in the upper/right half of the image. Like the way you got this to be nice and blurry yet still maintained the integrity of the scene.

I particularly liked visiting the blur challenge to see what people would come up with. I avoided the challenge because I don't need DPC "enabling" my natural faults :)

Your photo represents a nice learning curve for me...learning manual mode! (hmm? just what were those settings?)

I think I can try this and proudly say "I meant to do that!"

Hey there again... Thought I would look around and some other things you have done. WOW 13 out of 290 awesome job. I thought for sure this challenges winner would have a zoomed blur but I guess not. I thought it was an excellent idea (psssst I did a zoom blur too) but you're finished WAY ahead of mine. Again great work and congrats on such a wonderful finish.

Very nice zoom effect. The composition of the colors really propel this image. Congrats on the placement to boot.

Congrats on the placing! It is very chaotic and the colors are brilliant! Yet, it does work on a primal level with everything directed towards that one lonely person strolling directly in the middle, through the chaos, seemingly without a care in the world.

What I liked about this was the man in the center and the two people on the left about to cross his path. I like that they are all the focal points and it leaves you wondering what kind of mess they are headed towards. Very nice.

This is awesome, Deb! The colors and energy are so engaging. This is a perfect use of blur to make a beautiful, creative work of art :)

I like it. A good balance of colors Reds at both ends. Good balance of people moving and standing still, too. Looking at all these blurry pictures makes me want to have my glasses checked.

Go you, Deb! The score may have been a tad disappointing, but that is a pretty good finish - Congrats!

I gave this a 7 during vote but the more I look at this picture the more I think this was the best picture of the whole lot.

Very good! I love the colors, the geometry, the contrast, and the focal point of the human silhouettes. Every line leads straight to the travelers.

I am getting ready to travel, and this is exactly how I see the airport experience. Great capture.

Zoom blur! One of the best of those in this challenge. The lonely traveler frozen among the motion as the two long striders race to catch their plane or train in front of him make this a story not just a blurry picture. 9

This is just great - fits the challenge just well enough to keep from losing points. The strong sense of isolation is played precipitously against that common thread between airline travelers - that being the feeling of surrounded by controlled chaos. << 9 >>
