Photograph Information Photographer's Comments
Challenge: Blurry Mess (Basic Editing)
Camera: Nikon D70
Lens: Nikon AF Zoom-Nikkor 28-200mm f/3.5-5.6G IF-ED
Location: Front Porch
Date: Mar 8, 2008
Aperture: f22
ISO: 200
Shutter: 1/40
Galleries: Animals, Architecture
Date Uploaded: Mar 10, 2008

I tried various combinations of shutter speeds and spinning the camera. It was tricky to get the center of focus right, and I ended up with a relatively fast shutter speed combined with a quick spin of the camera - this gave sharper lines to the blur. Using the Gimp on Linux I adjusted saturation, curves and finished it up with a little usm.

Creative swirl effect with stationary background. I'd like to see how this is done.

Nicely done, even if the effect is a tad cliche at this point.
