 Cheating just a bit. This was actually a shot I took a week or so ago. :) Today was CRAZY and I am exhausted and simply do not feel like getting the camera and stuff out.

Minimalism with negative space is fairly easy to do. By the very definition, it is "minimal." What I want to do some though, is minimalism when the frame is "full" or stretch the definition some and get away from negative space (though it is probably my favorite technique).

It's good to see that I'm not the only one who still has candycanes around the house. The white really stands out well and nice job keeping shadows to a minimum.

I don't think it is all that easy to do -- to get such fresh pure white without blowing it out -- with not a trace of a shadow -- with deep rich reds. Looks like this has the master's touch for sure :)

And a hint of Christmas in April. Yes!

You're taking me back to Christmas in April. Nice sharp contrasting colors. Sorry to say that minimalism is a technique that eludes me (as do soooo many others) and I still don't get it by your description. It's like calculus to me :)
