 Is that a corny title or what???

Went looking for a useable definition of minimalism today. Please remember that I am no expert at this.

My working definition is as follows --

Minimalism is the stripping of all extraneous "stuff" from a shot leaving the barest of necessities to have a subject. There is no context for the subject, so often there is little or no emotion involved, as well.

In this case, I have "stripped" the other m&ms away leaving only a single pink one. I suppose I could have flipped it over and had pink on pink as well, but I liked the blue.

I do not like this shot, but I was too lazy and tired to shoot something really cool.

The pink on pink works well here, and you certainly achieved the minimalism.

There's something very lonely about a single M without the &M, you know? The pinks match amazingly well. And I like the shadow to ground it.

Oooooh. . .I LIKE how you did the pink on pink. And it makes me hungry to be totally mindless of calories and carbs and go get me some M&M's!! Thank you very much!

I really like the lighting on this -- the trace of the shadow under the candy gives it depth and interest.

I like the blue - I think the image needed the blue - I've never seen Pink M&M's - wonderful.

The colour on colour works nicely. Though I agree that this could use clearer focus.

To me this says "centered" more than it does "minimalism". Seems a bit OOF.

I like it, but would like to have seen sharper focus on the M&M. Great idea though; the pink on pink adds to the minimalist effect.

i'm sure it will be even more minimalistic, by your definition, when this m has gone the way of all good chocolate .. in fact that very pale pink makes me think you've already sucked off the very vibrant red it was made with ..
is that an m&m .. like a hard sugar coated chocolate lolly ??..:)

Another "Minimalism" winner in my book, and once again you have nailed it..... Also a great Pastel shot as well.....
