The "How'd They Do That ?" explanation is now posted. Please check here.

Wow, you "tied" the tripod to the car!?? How'd you do that? I'm surprised you didn't get camera shake just from the suspension and bumps in the road, etc. The timing is perfect with the sun lighting up the front of the tire. Very cool.

I really thought this would get a ribbon, the setup is really unique, can't wait to see the "Behind the Scenes", I might try it sometime. Is that a Jetta? I have a blue one :)

Good luck...

I have prepared a small "How'd They Do That ?", to be published shortly, including a picture of the setup. I'll post a link as soon as available.

Very well executed, dynamic and shows a lot of motion. I love the angle and perspective, very unique. You don't have to mention that there was no editing though. 10

Great shooting angle and the blur came out very good too. I also like the crop and rotation of the image within the frame. I think it could use a color balance though. Well done.

Brilliant shot. Great angle, how did you do it? I love the tilt of the photograph, it adds to the sense of speed. This is by far the best of the numerous automobile shots. Excellent work. 10

This is a very unusual angle, and I thinks it conveys the movement well.

trying to figure out how you got this angle! Very Nice! I'm giving it the highest rate so far...

one of the more interesting and best executed of the car shots. i'm not even going to try to imagine how you did this without harm to person or equipment. nice work.

I like the angle on this. Makes it feel like it just missed me!

Need some kinda big glass to zoom in this close (or are you hanging out the back of a pick-up truck two feet from the action?). Well executed. Good luck.
03/29/2004 03:08:14 PM
Impressive, you must tell us how you did it.
03/29/2004 01:40:35 PM
how?
03/29/2004 12:16:20 PM
It'll be interesting to see how you got this shot. Mounted on outside of car or someone hangin out on the hood. 10
03/29/2004 11:05:05 AM
excellent photo would have made a good magazine cover too
03/29/2004 10:44:16 AM
How did you mount this?!
03/29/2004 09:27:10 AM
Not very original, but very very well done, could be in a brochure from the carmaker.
03/29/2004 09:18:24 AM
Very imaginative, I look forward to reading how you did this. I personally would have flipped the photo horizontally to exploit the top-left to bottom-right diagonal which is easier on the eye.

Wow ... from where... how? I voted it higher than mine !
03/29/2004 12:37:21 AM
I thought long and hard about how to accomplish this kind of shot and couldn't figure out how to do it withouth mountin the camera to the car. I've got to know how you did this. - 10
03/29/2004 12:35:06 AM
Out of all the shots using cars in the challenge this one is the best.
03/29/2004 12:32:10 AM
this shot is an Idea I had wanted to try but never had the time, Nicely done !!!

I like this motion blur quite a bit. I hate the title. The (no edit) part just doesn't fit. Some people say titles don't matter, but I disagree wholeheartedly. It's part of what you present so it's part of the overall image. This would have been a 8 but the title choice brings it to a 6...

LOVE this angle. I think you're going to do really well with this one. Love the blurred road!
