Yes, I like your notes. Adds a lot. You could probably have some fun working on levels, curves, etc., & get a better finished comp. Sometimes, that's all it takes. |

I like your story of trying to get this portrait. I really like it and envy it, because I haven't ever gotten a shot of a snail -- only empty shells. The tiny glass makes the snail look quite large -- interesting effect. I think its a terrific capture and composition. It lacks a bit of light. Perhaps a white balance adjustment, to make the background less gray would help. Try a curves layer in luminosity mode. |

very cool snail - it is sure hard trying to get moving objects photographed well with a p&s
the image seems a bit underexposed - maybe a bit of level adjustment might do the trick to brighten in up |

Quite a cool shot, I like the composition ... whats that about never working with animals, lol. The patterns on the shell are interesting, does lack a little clarity |
