 I ran into this cross by accident one day while shooting for the sepia. I took a couple of shots of it and then when the story challenge came along, I went back to shoot it again. The second time I visited this shot I managed to get it right before a thunderstorm.

I also lost my keys near this cross and I was about good 15 miles away from home in the middle of nowhere. After looking extensively I founds my keys. I guess I was lucky because it was close to nightime and that Thunderstorm was near. I never found out who was the person who died here, but it was related to a car accident sinec it was near the highway.

such a dramatic image .. you may not have got on the first page, but 13th aint bad !! .. excellent photograph and love the process to sepia .. congratulations on a great place in the challenge, a brilliant shot and finding your keys .. !!..:)
my current entry in abc-def wotever started at 4 !! .. dont think i'll be joining you on the first page in that challenge .. !! .. its gone up to 6.2, but 6.2 aint gonna get me there .. !!..:)

Nice edgy look. Unfortunately there is a lot of artifacts on the sky. As this is advanced I think you could select the sky separately and get it to look the way you want.

That aside its a good shot and does tell a story. (A sad one unfortunately)
