 Along the River Bank

Taken as we were leaving far north Queensland for home after restoring some homes following the February floods. This river called Expedition Creek had a major effect on the surrounding area

I can't believe how overemphasized these clouds are. I doubt you used a polarizer or the reflection would be gone. Very dramatic coloring and contrasts. I'm not sure about dappling, but since I see the tree shadows I'll give you that, but I don't think the clouds qualify as dappling given the definitions in the description and forum.

This is definitely dappled light, and the subject and composition are wonderful. Unfortunately, the entire scene looks way too unnatural for my taste. I̢۪d be interested to know what processing you did to it, and what the original looks like.

To me, this image stands out among the rest.

The dappled light is obvious, but what stands out are the clouds, and the reflection off the water of the clouds, with the jungle in the center giving an eerie feeling of floating among those clouds.

Good light, great color, excellent dof, great texture, great blacks and whites, overall a geat image.

Wow...that's about as intense a blue as I've seen. In fact, on my monitor at least, you may have managed too much contrast. It's a very intense shot though.

It looks like painting. The right part is far more interesting due to the light. I would shift a bit to the right. Some details are lost but it may be also due to the small DPC size allowed. Landscapes are always best to judge in the full view.

Very nicely done. I really like the blue sky, but the shadows on the bank to the right are really impressive and fit the challenge IMHO.

This photograph is very symetrical, the lines of the tree lead the eye into the middle of the photograph.

This is not dappled light in my opinion - dappled light is light shining through several small apertures, functioning as pinhole cameras, creating circular images on the ground. Sorry, did not vote on this one.

Beautifully captured. Well done to get the light as well - especially for this Challenge, can't help wondering about emphasizing that by cropping out the left side - but then you'd lose the good reflections there.. who knows.
