No, those hands do NOT look masculine! It is a well-thought out and well-executed photo. The position of the hands is GREAT! It looks like a woman thinking about her absent man...... |

If those hands are masculine, it would be a very "girlie man". ;-)
Look at the fingers, too slender and smooth for a man. |

woohoo! this was one of the best shots in the challenge, in terms of lighting, design, and 'nailing' the challenge (pun slightly intended). I gave it an 8. I'm sure it offended a lot of people. Good work! |

Superb concept - I loved this shot simply for it's 'in your face' directness. Great work Lisae! |

For the last time, I don't have masculine hands!
But I take the point, you have to be obvious about these things. I keep my nails short because I use the computer so much. I never dreamed my fingers looked male... they're not hairy or anything, and it's only by coincidence (I didn't plan it) that you can't see either of the rings I wear on that hand. Oh well. |

It's too bad the picture feels so grainy, you lose all the detail in the reflection! |

The flesh tones mixed with the chrome and white and black are good, but I think the image might have been a little stronger with the adition of red fingernails. |

Nice shot -7. In my top 10. Just a tad "too white" for me, eg see crease at bottom right of "monument" that might not show normally, and hand gets a little distorted in color.

Not a bad idea, but it looks like it's a man's hand and to be effective it should be a womans :)

This photo fails to touch on lust. Sex sure. Lust no. Women do not LUST after a dildo or vibrator. As for the photo... a sensuous touch on this object is suggestive, so that's good. The composition is nothing to right home about. |

Beautiful. My only comment to make this better, would be that the hand reaching for the um..subject. (lol) shoud have the nails painted to represent that it is a girl. I NEVER paint my nails, and I'm a girl, but I think that it would enhance this photo somewhat. This screams lust. I think it is a great idea, non offensive, and straight to the point. If this doesn't say lust, I don't know what does. Excelent shot. 9 Good luck in the challenge. ~Hbunch7187~ |

Nice evenly white background (something I have yet to accomplish). I wonder if the composition wouldn't be more pleasing with the hand closer to the top 1/3 of the monument. 8 Lisa |

One of my top 5 this week. The style reminds me of an ad one might have seen in Playboy a couple of decades ago. 8 Jak |

I knew at least one person was going to go here. At least this is tasteful to an degree and not containing any assosciated body parts (if you know what I mean). Nice shiny reflection. |

Not sure about this one. I'd presonally like to see a woman's hand. That would have gotten my mind racing, instead of thinking "bend over big guy". Just my $.02. 7 |

Great idea. Possibly the highlights are a little too blown even for a high key image (I'm looking at the mottling in the skin tones in particular here)? But that's just being picky as I didn't notice it on first viewing... |

This is a little on the edge for this site, not that I'm all against it. Is that a man's hand touching it? That's more ironic than anything. The photo is well taken. The composition here is making wonder a little though. The man's hand is kind of grainy, but the "thing" seems pretty darn focused and smooth. I wonder if that's a function of color and reflectivity more than anything. Good shot. |
