A bit of the hat is missing and maybe you could have tried to frame without the corner of the rug on the top right.

This is a very nice picture taken from a great angle. The colours are very subtle and connected, and its very effective with just the subjects skin and bookmark coming through. I particularly like the way the colour of the bookmark highlights the book. The title is pretty good too.

I'm not sure about the overall composition, as I really want to be able to just crouch down a bit and see more of his face. Still, I'm liking the texture of this image. (If that makes sense.) :) Your processing is spot on.
