The background is so bright that it's overpowering the subject on my monitor. And the eye is lost... I like the composition, though.

I liked the composition of this shot, but found that the front of the horses head being out of focus a bit distracting. Nice detail in the mane. Good luck in the challenge.

Very sweet looking horse (or more likely pony) - if you could have lightened him a little and reduced the colour of the grass (less yellow should do the trick) this would, for me, have been a stronger shot.

A greater dof might have been in order since most of his head is in focus already. I'm referring to his mouth area.
